Get Yonder

For Android 7.0 or newer. Install it before you go, on every phone in your group.

Open this page on your Android phone

Go to yonderchat.app on the phone and tap Download there, or scan this with its camera. To put the file on a phone another way, it is here too.

Download the app fileVersion 0.0.87, 14.1 MB, for an Android phone
Check the file

Its SHA-256 is 72ad47f8b2b300db83caa9b53dcbd05f186fe3cfafecde0c8c7e0374103e4f71. On a computer: sha256sum yonder-0.0.87.apk (Linux), shasum -a 256 yonder-0.0.87.apk (macOS) or certutil -hashfile yonder-0.0.87.apk SHA256 (Windows).

It is signed with Yonder's certificate, SHA-256 f2:3e:03:d0:15:31:e8:ab:17:07:cc:83:6e:95:7f:f6:a1:75:71:1e:f8:47:14:1d:13:db:a0:22:39:5b:1e:e2. Every version, and every copy passed on with Share Yonder, carries this same certificate; Android refuses an update signed with another.

Installing it

  1. Tap Download and wait for the file to finish. Then open it from the notification or from Downloads.
  2. Android asks whether to allow installs from your browser or file app (on Android 7: Unknown sources, in Settings). Allow it; you can turn it off again afterwards.
  3. Tap Install. Updates install over it the same way, keeping your chats.

No internet where they are?

Give Yonder from your phone to theirs: Settings, Share Yonder sends the app file with Android's own sharing (Quick Share or Bluetooth), no internet needed. Their phone asks once to allow installing from the app that received it.

Get Yonder from yonderchat.app (it is not on Google Play or any other app store), or a friend's phone with Share Yonder. A copy from anywhere else may not be Yonder. Other apps named Yonder are not this one and have nothing to do with it.
